It’s ultra-Champagne focused. I nerd out with fellow WSET Diploma graduate Christopher Ruhland wrote a great book called “Press for Champagne” for people of all wine…levels? seriousness? Anyway it’s solid and entertaining information about Champagne and also made me wish I had a Champagne budget as I seriously have Champagne tastes.

Oh dang I’m sorry I don’t really write enough. I’ve been busy working my arse off and then putting it back on at dinners like the one I attended at The Meadowood in the picture above. That was the finale of my trip to the Professional Wine Writers Symposium which was a dream. Oh no it was real. Real dreamy.

I’ll try and post a bottle here more often. I swear. In the meantime I’ll be gabbing on The Wine Situation and writing about things silly and not like whether wine is vegan or not over at Delectable so enjoy and forgive me for not being here.

Maybe I should start a new thing? I could always try to juggle more.

I’m back! At least for now

I’ve been very busy with things like frolicking in Griffith Park at night and taking WSET Diploma tests and getting accepted into the Professional Wine Writers Symposium at Meadowood and telling stories on stage and making podcasts and things. And writing things for Delectable and going to San Diego for wine festivals and going to St. Louis to make pie for thanksgiving and taking my parents and their friends on wine journey because they were a captive thanksgiving dinner audience. If they wanted to drink the Bea they had to listen to me talk about it dang it! They did not seem to mind after all Bea is BEAtiful.

Thank you for helping me pick a new podcast logo! We are up and running again! Granted, we are moving to a twice a month schedule for the moment because life is crazy and so are we but not too crazy.

New times for the pod!

My darling podcast, formerly known as The Whine Situation is becoming The Wine Situation in season 2, which should start airing in a week or two! But in the meantime you should subscribe and catch up on season one! Exclamation point!

We changed because decided we had enough whining. The world is dark enough. So we are switching up the focus. We will be having more food and wine guests, but promise to keep our sense of humor!

In the meantime open to opinions on the candidates for our new logo. Because changing the name was an exhausting enough decision for us to make! What do you think?

Court of Master Sommeliers!!!!

That’s me and a Master Somm!

I passed another test. Intro level of the Court Masters. I got the highest score in the class. Sitting there while they called out the names of everyone else that passed, having a heart attack wondering if somehow I didn’t pass, was scary. But so worth it when they said they saved the person with the highest score for last. I started shaking.

The whole experience along with some words of wisdom from a master somm is all here.
